Abstract

The weight distribution of some "best" <tex xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">(3m,2m)</tex> rate 2/3 binary quasi-cyclic codes of length up to 54 is discussed. The approach taken was to compute the weight distribution of the corresponding <tex xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">(3m,m)</tex> rate 1/3 dual code, and then take advantage of the MacWilliams' identities to derive the weight distribution of the <tex xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">(3m,2m)</tex> code.
