Abstract

Summary In 2010–2011 field experiments were carried out to determine the weed control and phytotoxicity effect of the selected active ingredients of herbicides in Sorghum vulgare cultivation. During crop vegetation weed control was described and S. vulgare sensivity was conducted in the base of plant density, plant height and fresh mass. Following active ingredients were assessed: acetochlor, terbuthylazine + mesotrione + s-metolachlor, s-metolachlor + mesotrione, propisochlor, propisochlor + linuron, flufenacet + isoksaflutol. Data indicated that after application of: terbuthylazine + mesotrione + s-metolachlor, s-metolachlor + mesotrione and propisochlor + linuron very good weed control effect and significant plant height and fresh mass increasing were achieved.
