Abstract

As an elementary school art teacher, I have witnessed and experienced the heavy work load of teaching art. And, given the easy access to information technology in my school .I realized that I could take advantage of the Ministry of Education Lifelong Study Network Teaching Material (Web-Title) and the available digital art resources and integrate them into my art instruction. Therefore, an action research approach was conducted to explore the visual art instruction in a sixth grade classroom with digital art resources and Internet platform. Based on the findings of the study, important conclusions are summed up as follows: First, the teaching project needs to be arranged in an appropriate sequence and transferred into lifelong study network teaching material so as to be applied in the visual art teaching in elementary school. Second, base on the results of the action research, lifelong study network teaching material applied to visual art teaching in elementary school indeed increases student's learning interests and effects. Third, it is noted that by using the appropriate teaching strategies when using the lifelong study network teaching material as a teaching method, student's concentration and creativity can be improved. Further, it will be more effective if the teacher can demonstrate in person during the teaching.
