Abstract

Organic waste resulting from anthropogenic and industrial activities has become a source of pollution that can disrupt the existence of the environment. Various efforts have been made to minimize the presence of these sources of pollution, including processing them into more useful products. Eco-enzymes are a product that can be produced from organic waste which is processed through an anaerobic fermentation process. This online community service activity packaged through a webinar aims to be a means of communication and socialization media to raise public awareness about the urgency of managing organic waste as well and provide new insights in processing organic waste into more useful products in the form of eco-enzymes. The method used was participatory through an online seminar involving 144 participants from various backgrounds of regional, scientific disciplines, professions, and social status. The results of this activity show that there is enthusiasm among the participants in discussions regarding the use and processing of organic waste into eco-enzymes. This webinar is also able to build good communication and interpersonal interaction patterns, discussion and elaboration of material becomes more constructive, and reaches many participants from various regions, scientific disciplines, professions, and social status.
