Abstract
ABSTRACT The role of library instruction in developing students' critical thinking skills is an important issue in academic librarianship. Web tutorials offer education students a viable, cost-effective, participatory, and self-paced alternative to the traditional fifty-minute library instruction session. Although Web tutorials cannot provide all of the answers needed by library users, they can be an effective educational tool for engaging students in the active learning process.
