Abstract

The corporate Web site has moved from being just a shop window to an essential and dynamic part of the business. The amount of time and money spent on maintaining and developing the Web sites can be huge. In order for them to be of real use, content must be updated regularly. This results in the need for immense amounts of information to be organised. As each site is often managed by a different department or project team, and may deal with unrelated topics, sharing of resources can be difficult. To solve the multi-site dilemma, organizations must implement a solution that addresses the different business requirements of central IT groups, business unit Web teams and business users themselves.
