Abstract
Web browsers are becoming more powerful day by-day, with increased usage of interactive multimedia applications. Web Real Time Communications is a standard to integrate real time multi-media communications feature in web browsers by eliminating third party plugins. The increased usage of multimedia applications and rapidly updating technology, demands a browser platform that utilize less system and network resources. Bundle is an upcoming technology that reduces bandwidth utilization by using a single port for transmitting audio video data. This paper analyzes the ease of implementation of applications by using Web Real Time Communications, in comparison with plug-in based approach and analyzes the bandwidth and power consumption with and without enabling Bundle technology in browser based Web Real Time Communications.
