The Web site covers a wide array of topics within ultrasound, including musculoskeletal ultrasound. A link to musculoskeletal ultrasound is identified easily on the left side of the home page. Perhaps the most helpful section to sports medicine clinicians, especially those new to ultrasound, is the link to lectures. Lecture topics include ultrasonography of joints, soft tissue, and ultrasound-guided interventions. Also very useful is the section on cases. This section provides an excellent opportunity to practice describing findings on ultrasound. Cost: Membership is free, but registration is required. Radiology Info: www.radiologyinfo.org Description: Radiologyinfo.org is a Web site intended for patients. It provides simple explanations of radiologic procedures, including, but not limited to, biopsies, radiographs, ultrasound, magnetic resonance imaging, and computed tomography. It is not restricted to musculoskeletal imaging; a wide range of procedures is discussed. This Web site also includes links to images/videos for patients to view, and a Spanish translation is available. There is a section on patient safety, which addresses specific patient concerns, including anesthesia, radiation exposure, and the use of contrast materials. This Web site was created by the Radiological Society of North America (RSNA) and the American College of Radiology (ACR). Cost: Free. Orthobullets: www.orthobullets.com Description: Orthobullets is a board review site for orthopedic residents as they prepare for in-training exams and boards. It also is an excellent resource for primary care sports medicine physicians and sports medicine fellows. Information is broken down into useful sections, including anatomy and pathophysiology, as well as orthopedic subspecialties. Also included in this Web site is a Q bank section, composed of practice questions reflective of orthopedic in-training exams. Cost: Free. Wheelchair & Ambulatory Sports, USA: www.wsusa.org Description: Wheelchair & Ambulatory Sports, USA is a nonprofit organization whose mission is "to provide multi-sport and recreation opportunities for people with physical and visual disabilities." This organization was founded in 1956 under the name National Wheelchair Athletic Association. Wheelchair & Ambulatory Sports, USA offers sporting opportunities at many different levels, from recreational to elite, for individuals with disabilities. Junior athletes are encouraged to participate, and local competitions are held annually for athletes ranging in age from 5 to 18 yr. This Web site targets multiple audiences, including parents, educators, community and elected leaders, health care providers, and, very importantly, kids. It contains basic information on healthy eating, as well as suggestions about ways to become physically active both at home and at school. One strength of this Web site is that it offers suggestions specific to parents, leaders, health care providers, and kids to help promote a healthy lifestyle. Cost: Free.
