Abstract

This paper presents the development of a wearable wireless ECG sensor. The acquired ECG signal is sent wirelessly using Zigbee-compliant transceiver module to the Linux machine running services to obtain ECG signal from Zigbee-compliant module and store the signal into local database. The wifi-ready Linux-based machine also runs web server service along with web application software to manage ECG signal streaming. By using the web application on the Zigbee-to-wifi gateway, the ECG signal can be monitored on web browsers running on any OS based machines that connect to the local wifi access point.
