Abstract

Wearable Biosensors Research advances in wearable biosensors have made it easier to collect a variety of biosignals and transform them into actionable health information. Body computing systems based on wearable biosensors and intelligent data analysis have the potential to achieve reliable noninvasive monitoring of health and body status. These wearable systems are expected to enable personalized and preventative healthcare. In article number 2008087, Ali Javey, Yuanjing Lin, and Mallika Bariya highlight key considerations for wearable sensors, including materials and structures, power and communication schemes, and types of biosignals.
