Abstract
Wear testing of glass ceramics and Gr15 bearing steel materials were performed in a wear tester was performed. Under different loaded conditions, friction coefficient and wear rate of glass-ceramics were tested and the morphologies of worn surfaces of glass-ceramics were observed by using the optical microscope. The wear theory of glass-ceramics was analyzed, and then the experimental result was gotten. It showed that the friction coefficient was lower when the load was lower. As wear load increased, the friction coefficients increased and tended to stability. The average friction coefficient of fluorophlogopite glass ceramics and bearing steel are equal to 0.095. There existed variety on wear rate between glass ceramics and bearing steel. Between glass ceramics and bearing steel materials, abrasive wear was the main wear form.
