Abstract

Progress of experimental studies on weak localization in two-dimensional (2D) systems in semiconductor inversion layers by means of magnetoresistance measurements is reviewed. The inversion layers are those in Si MOS and GaAs/Al x Ga 1− s As heterojunction interfaces. Problems that remain to be solved are briefly presented.
