Abstract

Weak-basis invariant necessary conditions are derived for CP conservation in the framework of SU(2) L X SU(2) R X U(1) B − L models, with an arbitrary number of generations. In the case of two and three generations, a set of conditions is selected which are both necessary and sufficient for CP invariance. The case of degenerate or vanishing fermion masses is also analyzed, with emphasis on some novel features which arise in left-right models.
