Abstract

The author reflects on the COVID-19 pandemic situation in Great Britain amidst the decision by the government to lift all restrictions to control infections. Topics include the continuous increase in new infections in the country with nearly 44,000 people tested with infection on October 27, 2021, the high number of pregnant women infected, and the efforts by the National Health Service (NHS) to encourage pregnant women to get the vaccine.
