AbstractAt Laser World of Photonics, Coherent presented new products for the automotive sector: an adjustable ring‐mode laser to effectively weld materials with a propensity for cracking or spatter, dissimilar materials, and even copper, and a tactile seam‐tracking process head for brazing and wire welding. PhotonicsViews spoke with the directors from Tampere, Finland, and Kleinmachnow, Germany.
