Abstract

Regimes of operation of the closed-loop thermocatalytic cycle based on reversible catalytic reaction of steam reforming methane-synthesis have been studied experimentally. The efficiency of energy conversion in the cycle can be increased considerably by external cooling of the catalyst bed in the methanation reactor.
