Abstract

1. The minimum amounts of ammonium chloride were determined ensuring homogenization of alloy powders produced by the method of diffusional impregnation from point sources. It was established that homogeneous powders of various compositions can be obtained from charges of minimum ammonium chloride content in two ways: by replacing part of the ammonium chloride with ammonium bicarbonate (provided that fine-alloybase powders are used) and by using coarse, single-fraction alloy base powders without an ammonium bicarbonate addition. 2. A study was made of the possibility of replacing the ammonium chloride with ammonium iodide. Use of ammonium iodide can be recommended chiefly for the preparation of powders of high-alloy materials.
