Abstract

This article examines the issues of using national values as a national idea in the classroom in primary school. Moral relations are built in different ways depending on the attitude of a person to society and the society requirements to him/her. The concept of national unity is an essential element of moral relations. These requirements are expressed in special forms of moral relations (duty, responsibility, dignity, honor, conscience, etc.). Each of those expresses the degree and method of moral control over one's moral activities. On the other hand, people form different relationships with each other, obey a common social discipline, follow traditions, mutually evaluate their actions (sanctions), influence others with their moral authority, compete with each other, participate in mass movements, etc. The possibility of forming moral consciousness in younger schoolchildren is precisely connected with instilling patriotism through the awareness of the national idea. This is possible through improving the learning process.
