Abstract

As synthetic aperture sonar and radar systems are operated at higher platform velocities, spatial undersampling becomes an increasing problem. This is most often countered by using an array of spatially separated receivers. Here, a modified form of the standard wavenumber (range mitigation algorithm, /spl omega/-k, seismic migration) algorithm to account for the increased number of receiver channels is reported.
