Abstract

Parallel computing methods are developed especially in these centers, that have expensive multiprocessor computers. The advantage of PVM (Parallel Virtual Machine) is that it permits a network of heterogeneous Unix computers to be used as a single large parallel computer. Thus large computational problems can be solved by using the aggregate power of many computers. In this report we present some PVM computational experiments concerned the wavelet transforms in an image processing. Some PVM experiments were made on IBM PC 486 working under LINUX system.
