Abstract

Hydraulic pump is a key component of hydraulic system. Running state detection and faults diagnosis are of important significance to the reliability of whole hydraulic system. Based on the Wavelet Packet Decomposition (WPD) and Grey Relational Analysis (GRA) method, a fault diagnosis method utilizing vibration signal of the aero hydraulic pump has been proposed. By analyzing the characteristic of the vibration signal of the hydraulic pump, the Wavelet Packet Analysis has been applied to the vibration signal to extract the feature spectrum of the hydraulic pump. The relationship between the test signals and standard signals has been calculated; Grey Relational Analysis is then used to diagnose the pump running states. The validating test results show that this method combined WPD and GRA can effectively diagnose the fault of aero hydraulic pump.
