Abstract
The problem of reconstructing a signal from its wavelet transform modulus maxima representation can be formulated as minimising a quadratic term using the conjugate gradient technique. It is shown that this formulation obtains the same result as the accelerated frame algorithm which starts from the frame theory. A method to avoid super-resolution which is inherent in this problem is proposed, based on the measure of the regularity of the signal in the wavelet domain.
