Abstract
Orthogonal wavelet division multiplex (OWDM) is a system that has been proposed as an alternative to orthogonal frequency division multiplex. The idea behind OWDM is that, instead of using the inverse fast Fourier transform to generate the output, a wavelet transform is used, the complexity will be reduced and flexibility will be increased. This work is taken further and an analysis is performed of several of the available wavelet filters and a comparison is made of their suitability for use in a noisy terrestrial channel.
