Abstract

This paper discusses the wavelet transformation of an image, based on the thinning of its readings in checkerboard order. A recursive transformation algorithm is constructed, its features and basis functions are investigated, and filters are obtained that can be used with it. It is demonstrated that this transformation is efficient for constructing image contours.
