Abstract
A source of near transform limited pulses (ΔtΔf ≃ 0.38) with pulse widths around 15 ps, at a repetition rate of 10 GHz, is realised using strong filtered self-injection of a gain switched Fabry-Perot laser; this is achieved using a fibre loop feedback setup. The output is tunable over 11 nm using the tunable filter in the fibre loop.
