Abstract
A description is given of a waveguide-resonator CO2 laser operating at working-mixture pressures up to 3 atm. A cavity discharge is maintained by a train of electrodeless voltage pulses with a high carrier frequency (about 30 MHz) and a repetition frequency up to 250 Hz. Feasibility of cw operation is considered.
