Abstract

A five-fold reduction in the divergence of a Stokes beam, compared with the diffraction-limited laser pump beam (of wavelength 1.06μ), was achieved as a result of stimulated Raman scattering in acetone in a wide range of pump beam energies and experimental geometries.
