Abstract

The interference-diffraction pattern for Fraunhofer observation has been calculated for 2 and 4 rectangular and circular reflectors. The angular distribution of light of destructive interference is found to be at a large range of angles for the circular reflectors in contrast to a narrow range for the rectangular reflectors. The design of a wavefront dividing interferometer using circular reflectors is discussed.
