Abstract
We present the use of a photorefractive sillenite-type crystal as a buffer memory in a 90° holographic interferometer arrangement. This system is designed to grab, at a high rate, a series of wavefronts from the object and is not limited by the speed of the data acquisition system. We will present a first validation of this principle with two angularly multiplexed holograms recorded in a Bi12GeO20 crystal and with a cw laser beam. The quality of the interferograms obtained with this wavefront memory will be compared to real-time interferograms grabbed in the same experiment. From this first demonstration, we derive the expected performances for an optimized wavefront buffer memory.
