Abstract

The transformation of upper-hybrid, lower-hybrid, and magnetosonic waves on a heavy charged particle lying at the plane boundary of a magnetoactive plasma is considered. The angular distribution of the radiation resulting from wave transformation is investigated. The transformation of a low-frequency magnetosonic wave is suggested as a possible mechanism for pulsar radio emission.
