Abstract

In this paper, we consider a diffusional food-limited population model incorporating a discrete time-delay. For the case when the delay is small, we show that monotone travelling front solutions exist connecting the two uniform steady states of the model. The effect of a larger delay is studied numerically, suggesting that in this case travelling fronts still exist but lose their monotonicity.
