Abstract

Active noise control (ANC) in wave domain (spatial Fourier transform) can perform noise reduction within a large spatial region. Centralized algorithms collect signals at all error microphones for processing, which has a high computational complexity and is difficult to achieve large-scale deployment. In this work, we use multi-node networks to build the wave-domain ANC system, and propose a distributed algorithm to share computational burden between nodes. In particular, we consider a node as an unit consisting of multiple microphones, multiple speakers and a processor endowed with communication and computational capacity. Distributed algorithm is then specifically designed under this setting. Simulation results illustrate that the ANC system, equipped with the proposed distributed wave-domain ANC scheme, converges to the performance of the centralized solution.
