Abstract

The book presents the data from a study of the water-physical properties and moisture content of red soils from the Kolchic forest, as well as tea and citrus plantations in Ajara, and gives an assessment of plants’ productive moisture supply. It demonstrates significant loss of precipitations retained by the forest and crown of mandarin plantations, as well as high irrigation efficiency of tangerine plantations improving the harvest yield and fruit quality. This book will be useful to subtropical agricultural workers and students of relevant educational institutions.
