Abstract
Challenges that are faced while conserving a water source, starts from a small commodity to large, due to regular consumption of water. The major issues faced during dry seasons and in drought areas are lack of quality of portable water and unwanted wastage of water. In order to enhance the conservation of water and also in increasing the quality of water, an ultra filtration type of membrane cum water minimizer, which contains major two parts for purification and minimizing the flow ssduring consumption itself. The impurities in water including salts and other microorganisms get trapped in membrane based on the size of the impunity (i.e.,) micro level. The membrane could be adopted to a normal working tap pressure and based on the quality of the incoming the working efficiency may vary. The major advantage of this material is, it could be able to adapt to various commodities like apartments, public buildings, hospitals, at a cost affordable range for various kinds of users. As developmental project in india increases, there increases population rate. This leads to increase in water demand more than required, which leads to water shortage. This increases the rate of recycling process, but the recycled water is not utilised properly to satisfy the needs. Instead of utilizing the available fresh water for unnecessary needs, it is better to control depleting and saving the water for future use. There is another issue that people may get affected due to water quality, mainly during rainy seasons. To avoid such issues the end product is designed, with proper future aspect. The mini filter is designed in such a way that it is portable and occupies less space while providing high efficiency. According to research studies, usage of polysulfone membrane has been proved to be effective in removal of in removal of TDS, pathogens and other pollutants which makes the water very safe for drinking purpose. The main objective of the project is to provide an efficient purification system at an affordable cost. The characteristics of outlet water was tested and the result was satisfactory and meets the requirements of drinking standards.
