Abstract
Water hyacinth [Eichhornia crassipes (Mart) Solms] productivity and detritus accumulation were evaluated in eutrophic lake water with and without added nutrients (fertilized and control reservoirs, respectively). Seasonal changes in plant productivity and detritus accumulation were determined at monthly intervals for one year.
