Abstract

The drought in Ngantru Hamlet, Sekaran Village, Bojonegoro Regency, East Java, often occurs, particularly in the dry season. Based on the hydrogeological map, this research area has a very low narrow aquifer potential. So, in meeting the water needs of domestic, agriculture, and livestock, residents looked for other alternatives to increase water availability, maybe by exploring groundwater, doing rainfall harvesting, recycling water use, and others alternatives. This study aimed to calculate water demand in Ngantru Hamlet. The analysis was conducted based on water demand for domestic and also for all the activities in the community. The result obtained would be used in planning water supply strategies. The analysis results showed that the domestic water demand in 2020 was 52,954,200 m3/year with a population of 2418 people, and in 2021 was 53,764,500 with a total population of 2455 people. The need for livestock water in 2020 was 11,710,402.20 m3/year and in 2021 was 11,886,068.01 m3/year. Meanwhile, the consumptive water needs for corn farming was 1191.76 mm/year with a planting area of 99.6 ha, so irrigation water needs were 3,097,958 m3/year. so that the total water demand needed in 2020 is 67,762,560 m3/year and for 2021 it is 68,748,526 m3/year.
