Abstract

The number of landslides in Japan has been increasing in recent years. The main cause of landslides is to increase the water content in soil and an antenna sensor to receive the AM radio wave has been proposed as a method for estimating soil water content. In this paper, the AM radio wave reception characteristics of this sensor were analyzed numerically From the results of the analysis, this sensor has the potential to predict deep-seated landslides, and the principle of operation of this sensor was clarified.
