Abstract

The effective differential scattering cross section of a 0.1cm standard water sample at ambient temperature (T = 298 K), used for absolute calibration of SANS-data, has been determined at D11 with its BF3-gas detector. Systematic calibrations against primary standards were done in the wavelength range 4.5 ≤ [Å] ≤ 20. The standard samples are well-characterised polymer solutions and blends with known differential scattering cross sections. Data are compared to previous measurements at D11 and to recent results obtained at D22, equipped with a 3He gas-detector.
