Abstract
AbstractBeing able to image individual immune cells and their live behaviour in the retina will be critical to improving our understanding and management of patients with posterior uveitis. While we can observe cells in the anterior chamber and vitreous, this often does not always reflect retinal inflammation. Many of our measures of inflammation also are indirect, such as vascular leakage, macular oedema or deterioration in the electroretinogram. I will discuss our pre‐clinical work towards this goal, efforts across the wider field and the translational pathway forward for application to uveitis patients.
