New research sheds light on the origins of esteemed Italian physicist Riccardo Felici (1819–1902) who rose from humble origins to become rector of the University of Pisa. His mother was the famous beauty Isabella Roncioni-Bartolommei. Could his father have been Ugo Foscolo?
