Abstract

Introduction: High-intensity interval training (HIIT) interventions have grown in popularity in school settings, yet few studies have investigated their implementation, with most focusing on reporting outcomes. Process evaluations are important to conduct as they enable the implementation of interventions to be monitored and reported. These evaluations can provide an understanding of why an intervention was or was not successful and for whom it might be beneficial. The aim of this study was to conduct a process evaluation for a school-based HIIT intervention.
