Abstract

Warm compaction further underlined its growing commercial maturity by featuring strongly in the Metal Powder Industries Federation's (MPIF) part-of-the-year competition for 1997. The technology was at the heart of the grand prize winning entries in both the ferrous and overseas categories. Lock parts also featured prominently in the competition, while the automotive industry continued to prompt innovative powder metallurgy (PM) solutions.
