Abstract
Green stuff is a factor that more stress should be laid upon. Succulent grain stuff must be provided the year round. If natural grain stuff cannot be fed, then one must provide artificial green stuff in its place. We have found quite an amount of trouble amongst both old and young has been due to the Poultrymen not supplying grit to their stock. At one place this year, chicks were dying at the age of six weeks, owing to a slight form of gastrits which appeared to be due to a punky gizzard, owing to the lack of grit. If one is to gain the full benefit of foods given to chicks or hens plenty of good sharp grit should always be at hand. We have found also a great amount of digestive troubles are due in some places to the feeding of sweet milk. The reason that sour milk . . .
