Abstract

How well have you set your board up to succeed in its governance responsibilities? Nonprofit executives who make the time to ensure their boards have the tools, policies and procedures in place to govern effectively do themselves a favor. That's because the board that is prepared for success is one less likely to have a relationship with its administrator that is fraught with discord and tension. Use the board self‐evaluation (but keep the results to yourself) to determine if your board is set up to lead.
