AbstractRetail ‐ Miscellaneous (MIC: 5.11 SIC: 5912 NAIC: 446110)Walgreen is engaged in the operation of retail drugstores. Co.'s drugstores are engaged in the retail sale of prescription and nonprescription drugs, and general merchandise. General merchandise includes, among other things, beauty care, personal care, household items, candy, photofinishing, greeting cards, seasonal items and convenience foods. Customers can have prescriptions filled at the drugstore counter, as well as through the mail, by telephone, and on the Internet. As of Aug 31 2006, Co. had a total number of 5,461 stores located in 47 states and Puerto Rico. In addition, Co. operates three mail service facilities.
