Growth and decay of a foliose lichen. — Herzogia 27: 205 –209.Growth and decay of an individual of the foliose lichen Flavoparmelia caperata has been documented over a period of 15 years (1998–2013). The development of the individual's shape, area and annual increment are described in detail. The spatial extent was investigated by transferring the thallus contours onto transparent film.
