Abstract
Tématem článku je zánik rybníků anebo celých rybničních systémů v oblasti Poděbrad a Nymburka, a to zejména v obdobích sucha. Tato souvislost není zcela zjevná, když uvážíme význam rybníků v dřívějších dobách jako zásobu energie i vody.
