Abstract

The dynamics of the vortices in one-dimensional sinusoidally varying and logarithmic pinning potentials with thermal fluctuations are considered, and a simple model based on a single vortex description is introduced. For high T c superconductors, the power-law behaviors for both voltage–current characteristics E–J and the current dependence of resistivity ρ, and broadening in the temperature dependence of ρ which are consistent with the experimental observations are obtained by the solution of the Langevin-type equation of motion.
