Abstract

AbstractA general coercive boundary value problem for the von Kármán system is considered. Both the perpendicular and in‐plane loading of the plate is uncertain, being contained in some compact set of admissible input data. Then the worst scenario problem is defined, taking the possible nonuniqueness of the solution of the von Kármán system into consideration. A proof is presented for the existence of the worst scenario.
