The conviction that beauty is a Trace to Holiness«, is for us a dowry which western history and the philosophy of religion received from the Greeks, a dowry which is effective until today, even in Christian theology today. The existing reflections are based on the question : in which fashion is the »Christological Transformation of [Greek] Theology« (I.U. Dalferth) able of transforming also the experience of the beautiful? It demonstrates the theological coherence which connects the demythologisation of the beautiful as it appears in the transfiguration of the Crucified Christ with the discovery of the beauty of creation, which can be the exemplary experience of tenderness.
